What Zumba shoes are best for our classes??? I am approached often enough on this subject that I thought that it would be helpful to post some suggestions on our site. I choose my shoes based on the following criteria: cushion, support, flexibility, comfort, easy pivoting, support in my lateral movement, and of course they have to look cute. I'm posting some examples of shoes that I like. I have tried many brands but I always come back to Nike. I like their "Lunar" line, Lunarglide, Lunar MX, Lunarfly, they all seem to work very well for me. The other Nike like is a Nike "Free" product, Nike Free "Quickfit", I have a few pairs of these I notice that many of my participants wear these and they come in many cool colors.
I often buy my shoes online because I don't have time to window shop for my shoes. Some of my favorite online sites are Eastbay.com, Finishline.com, 6pm.com and Zappos. Zappos, although their shoes cost a little more, they do free shipping both ways. Zappos will usually send my shoes the next day, even if I don't pay for the upgrade. If you click on the Lunarglide shoe below, you will be taken to Eastbay.com and you can search for any of these shoes. Keep in mind if you are performing Zumba 2-3 times a week you may need to replace your shoes about every 3-4 months. I also recommend that you alternate a few pairs of shoes. I injured my knee almost 2 years ago and since then I have been very careful to keep good shoes in action, and so far it's helped keep me injury free.
